I cannot stand the word fart.

Growing up we called them pookies.
FIL calls them fanny bubbles.
DH and I usually just say that DD pooted.

Growing up we always said pooted. I remember being embarrassed when one of my friends had no idea what I was talking about when I said pooted.

Now we say that DD tooted. I just think that fart sounds so harsh.

Farts were bad words in my house too, we had to say passed gas or tooted. Butt was also a bad word, we always said bottom or tushy.

We say farts. When I was little we said "pon gu" which means fart in korean. I taught dh that and we always said that when we were together. But we didn't teach her that so we don't confuse her with another language.
