An update on our quarantined house....

So, after the seizure, we had a follow-up apt with the pedi on Thursday. Katie was diagnosed with an upper respiratory viral infection and also an ear infection. We were given antibiotics and sent on our way.

The pedi also mentioned that Katie has 4 top teeth coming in at the same time. When I got a look- sure enough I saw little nubs for all of them.

Anyway, so over the weekend Katie started wheezing and having labored breathing along with heavy congestion. She would play, but her appetite was decreased and very cuddly. We actually had to rock her to sleep and she even slept on our chests. It was great. She was sleeping through the night, so that was a blessing.

Today, I drop Katie off at my mom's house. I had to go into the office. Anyway, Katie threw up breakfast. My mom mentioned that her breathing sounded worse.

So, my mom took Katie to the pedi this morning. It was confirmed she has RSV. Damn insurance company for denying our synagis shots this year. That's a whole another story. She was given a breathing treatment and sent home.

So, this is going to last for about another week. Ugh!

Meanwhile, Joe is still recovering from the flu. He was getting his strength back over the weekend so he could help me a little more. It was a real help. He is still coughing and congested as well.

Then yesterday, I started feeling bad. Yuck! I have a full on cold right now and its awful. I probably have RSV thanks to Katie.

So, needless to say, we have a big fat red "X" over our house. We are officially quarantined until we all feel better. We have 2 humidifiers running in the house, a stockpile of tissues, hand sanitizer everywhere, and medicine is lining up the counters.

Will this week ever end?
