Until about 3 days ago, naps were awesome. Goes down about 12:00- 12:30 sleeps for 1.5- 2hours no problem.
But for three days he has been fighting me. He's been in there playing for an hour. Ive gone in twice.
Should I just give up for today? (please say no, I am soooo tired myself and was hoping for a break)
Is this a nap strike?
Any experiences?
Thanks!
Re: avoiding nap for an hour... WSID?
I wonder if he's ready to go down a little bit later. Justin transitioned to one nap around noon when he was about 12 months old, but in the last couple of months, he's ready to go down a little later. Now he goes down at 1:00 every day at daycare (standard naptime), and at home on the weekends it's between 1-1:30.
I gotta say, if he's been in there for an hour, he's probably not going to sleep. But if he's not crying and yelling for you, I'd leave him in there a while longer to see if he wears himself out. He can't go without sleep forever. I wonder if it's teething?

I love seeing your posts because it seems like I'm always dealing with the same thing. :-)
Nora did this to me Fri, Sat and Sun this week. She would play for an hour or so but eventually would fall asleep. I'd let him go if he seems happy. I usually only go into the room if fussing is involved (and this is usually because she intentionally threw something out of her crib she wants me to pick up.)
I also agree with Katie in bumping up his naptime a little later. Many times Nora naps the best when it starts at 1pm or later.
