I have already had a shower back home, but over the weekend DH's aunt (who is the only family that lives in the same town as us) said that she wanted to throw me another shower. But, she wants to do it after the baby is born so that everyone can see him. She said she wants to plan it for when DH's mom (her sister) will be here as well, which will be about a week after the baby is born.
I'm not really sure how I feel about it. One week old seems really early to be passing a baby around to about 40 different people. And I have no clue what it will be like in terms of sleeping, feeding, etc. Do you think you would be up to something like this one week after you have baby?

Ha! No way. What if you go late? What if you have a c-section? I actually felt pretty good by one week after my dd was born (vaginally, one week late), and I'm no germaphobe, but I think a shower at that point would have been way too much.
With my ds, he came by c-section, and there was NO WAY I could have physically been up for a shower, plus he was having weight gain issues, and we were all sooooo sleep deprived. One week old was a very rough time for us with him.
I would think more like one or two months old would make more sense, if you want to have it after the baby comes.
I would wait a few more weeks, 1 week is so soon and you and baby will still be getting ajusted and such.
Now on the other hand my sister's baby shower is on my due date so if Taylor decides to come early it will be very interesting
although it's at my dad's house so we will be able to get away.
