Wanna ask a new mom anything?

I'm trying to finish juicing my boobs before bed.  Please.  I'm bored and the boards aren't nearly entertaining enough for me right now.

    drinking and breast feeding - how does that work? ?can you have a glass of wine and then pump or if you have one after baby's out for the night (supposing baby will take its cue and pass out - although doubtful) will it pass through your system and be fine by morning? ?and yes this is the most pertinent of my baby questions. ?i'm sure i'll be able to figure out everything else just fine...ha.

      I call it boob juice all the time *blush*.  Though sometimes DD falls asleep on them so fast I think it's actually booze.

    Just wanted to say congrats!  I remember those first few weeks were so hard, I cried and wanted to crawl under a rock.  And I too juiced my boobs, most days so often that I felt like I was a dairy cow.

    Not really, but I didn't feel like exercising before or during my pregnancy either. Wink.  When it's nicer out I plan on going for walks with DD in the stroller, though.  And thank you for the compliment!

    As for drinking and BFing, as long as you don't feel it, you're fine.  You can have a drink (or two, I suppose) and still nurse afterwards.

    I'm actually wearing this loose shirt DH sometimes wears with his swim trunks but I steal it to sleep in.  The arm openings are so big I can actually tuck the girls out through them and nurse or pump that way.  It definitely drives me a little nuts that I spend most of my day in just a nursing bra.

    I was induced because they thought my fluid was low.  It wasn't (ultrasound was misread), my progress stalled, DD started showing distress and I had a C-section.  Bitterness from that aside, I feel pretty much fine.  The C-section recovery was nearly as bad as I expected, especially after the staples came out, but I have every intention of going for a VBAC with DC #2.

    Hardly!  You look taller than I am, are clearly thinner than I am (pregnant or not) and appear to be stretch mark free.  Smile

    So you can nurse as long as you are not tipsy?  That is amazing....I always thought there was a waiting period.  I am excited about this.  Mama love her wine!!!!

    That's what I was told by the LC at my BFing class.  If you don't feel it, you can still nurse.  Enjoy the wine!

    Alright ladies.  I'm done playing Jersey cow.  If you want to ask me anything else, feel free to post it here and I'll answer in the morning.  Thanks for giving me something to do while I pump. 

    BTW, enjoy the 2nd tri.  20-30 weeks was definitely my favorite span of my pregnancy.  Baby moving around and my bump was cute, not massive.
