Follow-Up To I Think I am M/C

I went to the doctor on Monday and she said that my uterus did not feel as enlarged as she would have expected. ?She had me take a HcG test and it came back at 78,000 so she had me do an ultrasound. ?We saw a baby measuring 6 Weeks 1 Day with a heartbeat of 110. ?The ultrasound technician said this was a week heartbeat and could mean a m/c is coming soon, but from what I found on the internet, this is a normal heartbeat at this time, so I still don't know what is going on. ?I took another HcG test today and will see my doctor again tomorrow. ?Please keep your fingers crossed from me.

Also, I'm no doctor but I would agree that 110 sounds fine for 6 weeks one day. I registered a heartrate of 130 with a baby measuring 7w 1d at our first ultrasound and it would seem more than plausible that your HR would be normal for a week earlier.

Our little ones hb was 120 at 6 weeks 4 days so not that much more. Keeping positive thoughts for you!

Fingers crossed for you!!! At 7 wks my dr wouldn't even tell me what the heart rate was -- he just said "it's over 100 and that's enough for me" so sounds okay to me!

Seriously, why do docs do this to us?

I had "slow heart rate" last week according to my midwife, however, I researched it and it seemed fine for how far along I was. (measured 6w2d and way 113 bpm.)

I expressed my concern and am going back tomorrow (one week later) for follow up u/s. I am definitely hoping to see something closer to 130-140.?

I work in healthcare field and your u/s tech never should have said anything like that in the first place. Based on other info posted it sounds like it's fine. I don't know if you noticed or not but depending on which "beats" they measure your rate can vary alot. Especially if they just measure one point (which mine did) and only do one measurement.
