Started a Registry Today

So I started my BRU registry today. Man is it overwhelming and frustrating because our BRU ended up not having a lot of what I wanted to look at. How am I supposed to decided if I want it if I can't see it? Oh well.

I'll be going back next Sunday when I know what this LO is.

Same problem here. I can not believe they do not carry the fisher price zen collection.

I agree we did it over the course of a few visits, it was overwhelming the first time I started crying about not knowing what bottles to get (ok maybe some was hormones too Wink ). It was less stressful doing it over time rather than all at once.

I also went today for the first time. I had found some things online that I hoped to see in the store but wasn't able to. When I got home I realized that a few things that I liked in store weren't available online to add to my registry or for people not near a BRU to purchase. I guess I'll try a different store next week. Good-luck to you!

I have been adding stuff to mine here and there since week 14, but I really have to start working on mine. It's crazy overwhelming, but luckily a friend of mine is coming with me when I find out what DC is, and then I can use her motherly knowledge at the store too.

Yes! I wanted to look at it. I also was bummed at their Graco selection. It's hard to tell if you really like a pattern without seeing it in person.

we gave up after two hours and went home when we first did it- i ended up changing about 80% of it online anyway- go figure.

That's what I'm doing right now. Adding stuff I had seen online that wasn't in the store.

If it makes you feel any better it took me 3 trips to the store to register:

1) to scope it out (Buy Buy Baby vs. BRU)

2) to register with DH

3) To add more items that I forgot on trip # 2.

and I've been adding things from the website as I realize I forgot them.

I ended up finding it at Usababy, and registered for it on amazon. Not sure how many people will buy from amazon, but oh well.

We registered at BRU on Saturday and ran into the same thing - no stroller, pack n' play, swing that we liked. I ended up adding them once I got home but most of what I picked can only be purchased online. I was pretty shocked and definitely frustrated with the whole experience. I ended up putting like 10 packs of onsies on there because they were the only really cute things that I saw and I was determined to add something cute on there!
