this is not a big deal in and of itself, but i am kind of struck by it and wondering what you might think.
for the last couple days, truitt has not wanted to go anywhere. for example, when the nanny asked him today if he wanted to go to the playground, he said "no, stay at home." last night, DH was going to walk the dog and asked T if he wanted to go with him- usually one of his fave things- and he didn't want to. it's just odd b/c he usually loves being out and about.
anyone have a similar experience or "phase" with your kiddo?
Re: toddler moms- question
Kendall has said that on occassion....we'll be going out to eat and she'll say "I want to eat at home" or I'll be going shopping (her favorite pasttime) and ask her if she wants to come (she would've never turned it down before) and she'll sometimes say "No, I want to stay at home with Daddy".
So yeah....welcome to the world of them actually voicing opinions. Sometimes I prefer the time period before she began talking. LOL
Yep, DS just started doing this a couple of weeks ago - mainly in the afternoons. ?Other kids he plays with have done or do this, too, so it appears to be pretty normal. ?In some situations, I've started telling him what we are doing (like I usually do in the mornings) rather than asking, and he usually goes along with it. ?I think it's a little bit of a control thing and maybe a little bit of enjoying the comforts of home.
?
Edited to add that I do like to give him a choice, but I also want to make sure he gets fresh air, etc.... it's funny because he used to want to go outside practically all the time.?
ha! there is no option for an opinion when it's not a matter of what he would like to do. you can trust me on that.
