it wont make it grow faster, it will appear to grow faster. But also by cutting off the old baby hair, her hair will look fuller and thicker too.
DS has already had 4 haircuts. and we're lacking now, because he wont let me do it anymore because he gets so curious. so i wont be doing the cuts any longer because its easier when the stylist doesnt know the child. so cant wait till we take him in!
He's had 3 haircuts, but he needs another VERY badly. I can't do it anymore, he's all over the place. The last time I cut half of it and then he had to go around with a horrible cut until finally I got in the bathtub and "cornered" him (plus he was too interested in the faucet and drain to care about me messing with him). I want to just take him to get his haircut, but DH thinks it's such a waste of money, when I can do it myself. He just doesn't get that I CAN'T do it myself anymore!!!!!!
We had DD's hair cut shortly after she turned 9 months. DH, despite his many previous trips, had recently read that the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World (the one in FL) has a barber shop on Main Street (just across from the firehouse, same block as the shops; there's even a pole outside). There's likely to be a wait, but for $14 they'll cover your child in Mickey stickers, bring out large plastic scissors and a comb for photos, give you a mouse ears hat that reads "My First Haircut" and a certificate of bravery (if that's the case)...oh yeah, and cut your child's hair. They do all ages, for those who just want to have fun ($17, give or take). DD's bangs haven't grown past her eyebrows again yet, but her "mullet" certainly is beginning to creep further down her back.

I have cut DS's hair 3 times. The last time I cut it was a month ago, and it already needs it again. I don't know if cutting it truly makes it grow faster, but it certainly seems like it!
