I got the stomach virus :(

Ugh! Feeling like total crap today. Woke up sick during the night, about the same time Liam woke up with diarrhea. That was a fun diaper change for me LOL. I haven't thrown up since 2am, but I am having the worst body aches. It totally sucks being sick while breastfeeding - he is sucking out all my fluids and calories, and I haven't eaten anything yet today. Bleh!

On the plus side, DH is working from home today to help me out. He took Liam to go get coffee and they've been gone for over an hour. I've been able to curl up on the couch and watch tv like sick people are supposed to do. It's heaven! I'm hoping the reason they've been gone so long is that Liam fell asleep in the car and DH is driving out a nap so that I don't have to wrestle him to sleep when they get home!

Oooh that sucks! It's so hard to be sick and taking care of a little one- especially while BFing!

Hope it is an even less than 24 hour bug in your case.

Oh no! I was hoping you wouldn't get it. I pray we don't. That really sucks, but hopefully it's short lived. That's awesome that your DH is home today to help you out though. Enjoy your couch time until they get back. Maybe he'll find some other errands to run with him this afternoon.

How long between when Liam had it and when you got it? Just wondering what kind of timeline this thing is on.

yuck- I am STILL out of work from the bug that started tuesday AM. I feel for you b/c I was wondering what in the world I would do if I was breastfeeding. I couldn't even keep down water for the longest time so I know there would be no way to stop dehydration from setting in.

I hope it doesn't last as long for you! Emily still seems ok- but it probably helps that she has been at daycare and not had to spend all her time with me.

He threw up for the first time Monday night, so I guess it's been about 2 days. Maybe we're in the clear. He was sickest on Tuesday, and felt great yesterday, even though he had a little bit come up last night after dinner. We all have the same cold, but I can deal with that if it means we don't have a stomach virus. Hope you're feeling better soon! Get some liquids in you!

Oh no! I hope you start feeling better soon! I had a stomach bug Tuesday & it is so hard to have to nurse while you're sick! Plus I felt like I didn't have as much milk, so J was having to nurse and nurse and nurse!?

Glad your DH is home & can help with Liam!?
