I've been meaning to ask this. I'm sure it was an AE, but I want to make sure to never respond to her posts (if she's dumb enough to post again under the same name).
I don't have a link. I think it was e-mailed to the baby's mom. I never saw the picture, nor do I want to out of respect to the baby (and mom). I do want to know what possessed the nestie to think it was "okay" to do something like that!
Some freak took a pic of a nestie's son and photoshopped a penis into a banana peel, put it in his mouth and captioned it "Starting solids too soon."
Sick, sick, sick.
that's crazy. it explains the photoshop I saw in someone's siggy last night about how they won't leave pics of their child up anymore (it has a creepy old man's face in the place where the baby's face used to be). did they think it would be a joke?
Mommy to Seth (4) and Catherine Anne (13 mo.)
Excited to welcome a third child in March of 2013!
Why would google release the info of the state the ISP is located in to anyone other than authorities and would they move that fast?
Google doesn't have to release anything - there are several websites on the Internet that will provide the location of an IP if you enter it. Your IP information is included in ALL of your email headers, it's just usually hidden for aesthetic purposes (really, who wants to see a bunch of gobbledy-gook at the top of all of their emails?). That's why when you forward a phishing email to PayPal or whoever they request FULL headers - it's so they can trace the IP address. I believe a router will flout a static IP though, I can't remember for sure. But Google didn't release anything to anyone - it's public info that's sent every time you email.
Good point, BB. Why would Google do that and so quickly?
Don't get me wrong, it was a horrific thing to do but the FBI? Really? I think their time would be better spent focused on terrorism or other serious crimes than on some silly spat on a message board.

I'm not sure about how you check information on e-mail addresses, but I have a photography website and a tracker thing on it, so I can see where people are (the town) who look at my website, every single page they look at, and how long they're on each page. So maybe it's pretty easy to tell in e-mail, too.
Hence why I didnt' say who they think it is. Those chicks in that group are all so BSC, as far as I'm concerned they are all lying until proven otherwise. They love the drama about 10x more than me...and that's a lot.

It's actually considered child pornography, and the FBI has a division devoted to Internet issues. It's on their website. I don't know how much time they'll devote to this specific issue, but apparently they thought it was important enough to investigate - she was instructed to contact them on Monday for a case number. And if she WAS given a case number, chances are she was also instructed NOT to post any further information about it due to the investigation. Just a thought.

That last statement alone qualifies them as BSC. Whoa!! jk.

Child pornography is a serious crime and much bigger than a "silly spat" kwim?

I kind of wonder if they group this type of child pornography with the kind people have for their own sick pleasure since it was done to get a reaction out of someone. You know, a "child pornography is child pornography" kind of thing, regardless of the purpose behind it. I do hope they investigate it because it's so disrespectful to do something like that to an innocent baby, but I don't know that the person would be arrested for possession of child pornography or anything.

I think she could be arrested because I am pretty sure that child porn is a strict liability offense (meaning that it doesn't matter what you meant to do). That said, obviously a prosecutor has discretion in determining which offenses deserve the use of public funds to prosecute...

If you don't "get" how something that constitutes child porn is so not okay, regardless of whether or not the FBI would pursue it, then you're one sick bastard. And if you don't get how photoshopping a penis into a baby's mouth might constitute child porn you're one sick, stupid bastard.
I hope the Nest Gods are using all their interwebs superpowers to find out who it was and raining their fury down upon her.

Damn, Larks.
I assure you that I am not sick nor stupid nor a bastard.
I simply meant that I thought that CP involves a pedophile and I don't think that the idiot who did this is one so how could it be CP? I was equally surprised when I read a news story about teenagers being arrested for texting nude pics of themselves, which is also considered CP.
Again, not stupid/sick/bastard just ignorant about CP.
I agree that CP (at work, I don't want to type it out) is a serious, serious crime. I just don't understand how this constitutes CP.
In my mind, CP involves a pedophille, not some idiot on a message board who set out to seek revenge on her frienemies.
Either way, I hope she gets hers and I hope that we find out who she is!
Because a naked child is a naked child. A guy got fired from his job for e-mailing pics of his just-born son around the office, of course fully naked, everything showing. That's considered CP. Once on the internet always on the internet, do you want some sicko to get a hold of the photo an whack off to an innocent pic. of your naked kid?

D'oh! I wasn't referring to you, Toosdai! I was referring to whoever photoshopped the picture. My bad! I should have been more clear. No offense meant.
Re: Who is the sick nestie who photoshopped that poor baby's photo?

NO, she did not do it to her own baby - someone took the photograph from her sig, her blog or her bio (I can't remember which) and altered it.
No, someone else did it to a pic of her baby, and then that person emailed it to her.
