RP from 2nd Tri - Boys Names

So now that we know it is a boy.  I want to name him after my Grandpa.  His name is William but we call him Bill

So I'm thinking either

*William and calling him Will

Or

*Liam

Which do YOU prefer?

    Tough choice! I like Will.... but not William. I think Will is really cute.

     I think I would go for Liam.

    My DH is William, he goes by Will (except MIL calls him William).  I think it would be cute to call him Liam.

    DH is a jr., so if/when we have a boy we are going to stick with William I think...maybe we will call him Liam for short so that things aren't too confusing.

    That is exactly our plan as well - if we ever get there!  My grandfather was also William and we decided that we would go with Liam since we both are over 50% Irish.  Plus my cousin is Will so that was an automatic rule out.

    Liam is my most favorite boys name and it is what I would choose.  My DH is not sold on it so we have settled on Joshua.  I vote for LIAM!!!

    I like naming William and calling him Liam.  DH's name is William and he goes by Will, if this baby would have been a boy William was our choice name and we were going to call him Liam.

    Not to be redundant, but we too plan to name a boy William after my grandpa. I was sold on Liam but DH wants the middle name to be his grandpa's and call the baby by his middle name. I love Liam!

    I like William and Will too, but I really dislike Bill.

    Definitely give him "William" as a full name, and then pick either Will or Liam as his nickname.  I dislike it when people have nicknames as first names names.

     My H is named William after his father, and nicknamed Bill.  Bill is not my style.  I don't like the whole "jr" thing, but if I were to name my phantom baby William, I definitely wouldn't do another "Bill" nickname.
