Got "stimulated" yesterday...

so i had my checkup yesterday and he said i am very soft and a "fingertip" dilated. during the internal he says, "Just hold on, I am going to stimulate you for a second" and then I feel like he is scraping a hole through my vagina! Stimulation def. not the right word!!

So DH always comes with me to the appointments, and when the doc walks out he says, "My wife just got stimulated by another man right in front of me." So funny....the look on his face was hysterical!

But anyway, I looked up cervical stimulation (yes, I googled) and it said it's the same thing as stripping the membrane...is this true? I only ask because everyone has been talking about it on here this past week. I am scheduled for induction on Wed. night if I don't go on my own...going to give me cervadil unless my cervix starts to do its business!! Maybe this "stimulation" will work! Going to walk the mall today!!

    LOL.  I think I would prefer hearing the term "membrane stripping" from my doctor.  I hope it works for you!!

    sounds like the same thing to me. Are you having any cramping now? Its supposed to be a good sign. Hope it stimulates your labor!

    My Dr called it a rough exam, I think that really hits it on the head.  She's done that the last two times I went in and nothing yet.  But hopefully something will happen soon!
