I have heard very good things about J. Moraca and Assoc. in Sewickley (also an office in Moon), so that is where I am going when it's time. They deliver out of Sewickley Valley Hospital and from what I've heard from people who have delivered there, patients get such personal attention and really like the doctors in the practice.
I can't express to you enough how amazing the Midwife Center Midwives are!!! I know that you specifically said OBGYN but The Midwife Center doesn't just do babies...they are a full service Gyn care site. They are also associated with Allegheny medical so anything needing a doctor or hospital is taken care of as well. I started going there when I was uninsured (they operate as a clinic on Fridays) then when I got married continued to go there b/c I loved them so much...Finally when I got PG it was only natural to stay there...My first prenatal visit was over 1 hour and we barely talked about the baby!!! It was all the midwives taking time to get to know me and my DH!!! Again if you are looking for compassionate and didicated look no furthur!!! I never once have felt like a number when I go there...They are not looking to get you in and out...they really care about your concerns and issues. It is located in the Strip district and really you won't be disappointed! As a matter of fact my family just went to their annual client picnic yesterday!!! What medical practice do you know that has a client picnic??? Anyway good luck and feel free to ask me any questions.
Hi, I am unsure whether you decided on a GYNOB but I wanted to suggest mine.... I actually go to their Cranberry office but they have a bunch around the area. Pittsburgh Gynob (https://pghgynob.com/) I used to go to North Park OBGYN but the dedication to patients sucked! I love Pittsburgh Gynob... I was never treated poorly by any of the Drs. and always felt comfortable... Not to mention my delivery was smooth sailing down at West Penn... We were in a Suite the whole time!!! I can give you any further info on them if you'd like... I completely reccommend them to anyone, any age group for paps to deliveries!!!
I have recently moved out of the Pittsburgh area, but while I was in Pittsburgh, I loved my OBGYN. His name was Dr. Eugene Scoscia and his practice was on the North side on Federal street. He also used to work in the Lifestages clinic at Allegheny General hospital. He was recommended to me by one of my collegues and I was really sad to move away in the middle of my pregnancy because he and his nurse Maura were so incredible through the beginning of my pregnancy!
Without a thought i would recommend my OB/GYN. I see Dr. Logan who delivers at West Penn Hospital. I driver over 45 minutes to see him and wouldn't want to see anyone closer to risk them not being half as good as he is!
I too am a patient of Dr. Scioscia @ AGH on the North Side.....I can not say enough about him. From the beginning of my pregnancy to my emergency c-section......fantastic! I HIGHLY recommend him.
