She was babbling the other day and clearly said "dadadada". Ever since, she does it at least a few times a day. I know she doesn't associate it with DH yet, but he's as happy as can be. I always thought babies made the "mmmm" sound first?
Sounds like you've got quite the talker already! Still makes it fun to hear even if she doesn't mean it. Not sure about the "mmmm" sound being first. Eloise started with the "ba ba" and "da da" first.
Awww...that's adorable. Caleb definitely has been using the mmmmmm sound more than anything else, but it just comes out. I can't wait until he's really talking!

From working with speech and language pathologists at school...many think the dah/duh sounds come first. The shape of the mouth?doesn't?really change, just the position of the tongue...vs the "mmm" sound sound which is the lips coming together. Who knows if this is right or has any bearing. Maybe it is random. It's interesting though!?
