So, I'm selling my old car. I just put the sign on it about 3 hours ago and I get a bite (whoo hoo). We settle on a price and he gives me a deposit (I give him a receipt). We plan to meet Friday for the rest. He leaves.
THEN, it occurs to me that we didn't talk about getting the title transferred. My dad practically beat it into me growing up that you meet people at the courthouse to change the title, don't just assume they'll do it. So, I have to call this fellow back. Well, he speaks practically no English so it's hard to talk to him--definite communication problems. GRR!
Why couldn't I just give him a bill of sale and go on about my business (legal thing to do)? But NOOOO, I have to be my father's daughter and make sure my ass is covered completely. I know it's the better thing to do, but I don't feel like the hassle. I'm way too lazy.
Sorry for the vent but I was hoping to not add to my week. Vent over.
