DD never had a paci, we dont use bottles anymore (she wasnt attached, getting rid only took a day), she has lankets in her crib that she sleeps with, under, on, whatever...but I could switch them out when Im washing them, etc....She has NO attachment to anything tangible really... I mean there certain toys she favors, stuff like that, but nothing she holds in her hand or that we cant leave home without. Normally I would think this is a great thing, but lately Ive been wondering (since all kids seem 2 have something) if this is an issue?? Is that crazy?
Re: Anyone's kid NOT have a "lovey"??
DS is not attached to anything. He is very independent too. He loves to play by himself but has us play with him every now and then. The only time he is attached to us though is when there are a ton of strangers around, but thats normal.

No lovies here - no paci's, blankies, stuffed animals or anything. I'm glad -it's one less thing I have to worry about.
DD is not particularly attached to anything. She has two stuffed toys in her crib that she will cuddle and play with, but she also regularly chucks one of them out onto the floor.
?
I sometimes wonder if she's starting to get attached to the blanket that we put over her at night (it's usually the same one, but not always), because she sometimes seems really happy to see it -- but I wouldn't consider it a lovey at this point. ?
