It isn't the labor and delivery, or breastfeeding, or even really taking care of the baby at all... it's dressing this baby. ?I have no idea what a baby is supposed to wear, how many of each of these different outfits she's going to need, or anything really. ?I know the baby classes we're taking at the hospital will cover all the usual stuff... diapering, feeding, bathing, basic care, but are they going to cover what she's supposed to wear too? ?
I have enough trouble picking out clothes for myself and now I'm completely freaked out that I have to be responsible for what another person is supposed to wear. ?And on a more shallow side, I don't want to be that mother that everyone laughs at because her child is dressed like an idiot.
Anyone else share this fear??
Re: My biggest fear
I was clueless about baby clothes before having DD, what I found is that newborns live in onsies...her daily outfit was a onsie with some little pants over it and maybe a sweater if it was cold. As long as I had a bunch of onsies I could make them do and then use blankets
really it is not as hard as it seems and in the end babies are so cute on their own that it doesn't matter what you put on them :0)
