i'm usually on target as to when i get AF (not a day late or a day early) especially after being on BC

i went off of BC for 1 week due to an insurance screw up

and i bled twice that month (this has happened to me before so i know its normal)...however...AF still has not arrived (im only a couple of days but i feel no symptoms)...is this normal? is it normal for your cycle to change or be off while on BC?

    when did you take your last "active" pill.you should get AF anytime between 3-5 days after you take the last active pill, so i wouldn't consider it late until it's been longer than that.

    huh? i dont get it....ok let me clarify....i was off of bc for 1 week in the beginning of january....after 1 week i went back on bc....my last active pill was yesterday? im confused.....im a new bc user so im really hating this

    While on BCP, you take 3 wks of hormonal pills, and the last wk is basically placebos.  So, 2-4 days after the last hormonal pill, AF should arrive b/c you aren't feeding your body the hormone.

    What pill are you taking?  Maybe someone is / has taken the same and can help you out a little more...

    i'm taking loestrin...i understand the whole hormonal pills (those are the iron pills) what i dont get is the timeframe of me being off....i bled twice, still no af, im wondering if my cycle if off...oy!

    Gotcha. 

    I've never used that one, but for a while I was using the same (forget name) and I was having 2 periods a month!  Doc said my body was used to that pill, so I switched, and it all worked out.

    I'd def call doc to see what's up.

    Did you start a new pack after you skipped a week? If not, that is probably the problem. If your last active pill was yesterday, you're period is not late yet. you have to give it 3-5 days!
