Do they make a humidifier that doesn't soak the floor?

Maybe the unit I have is just old school, but do they make one that doesn't make the floor soaking wet?

I have it on the carpet and I do lay a towel down, but when I turn it off in the morning the towel is soaked. It's ultrasonic and doesn't have any settings (just off and on, and the spout thing where the mist comes out can be adjusted to control how much mist comes out. I have it set so the least amount possible comes out.)

Note: It doesn't leak, the mist that comes out is what makes the floor soaked...

I have ours on an aluminum pan, but it doesn't seem to leak. It's a Holmes brand. I got it at Buy Buy Baby.

We had this problem too, until I noticed that it's supposed to be 2 feet off the floor. No more problems!!

We put our on an old pizza pan covered with a towel, on top of a small footstool. That way any mist that falls doesn't hit the ground or ruin the stool. It works. I forget the brand, I think Holmes, it's one of the ultrasonic ones.

Huh....I have a Vicks one and I have the same problem with mist going everywhere, and a towel didn't help much. ?We had it on a short bookcase, about 4 ft off the floor. ?We had to stop using it for fear of growing mold, but it's been so dry here and I'm constantly waking up with sore throats every day that I'm reconsidering it for DD's room.
