It just rubs me the wrong way when the south gets associated with this crap. It wasn't just down here, honey. And people who have issues with plantation (antebellum) homes and heirloom dresses (per a news article) can bite my southern asss. I love the south.

    The KKKs headquarter is in Indiana. So that is a funny statement when people say they came from the South.

    I think most people who don't know the heritage of the south always assume different stereotypical ideas of what it is like down here.

    When I lived up north they always asked me if we still road horses to school. I was like yep everyday and we hitched to the hitchin post.

    Ok to all the southern bells- the northerners don't think the things we see on TV about the south are true.  We don't believe the things on Family Guy to be factual.  We know racsim has no boundaries and exsists in  people's minds and has nothing to do with location.  We know you don't marry your cousins and whatever other stereotypes are out there.  Give us a little credit, we can take the time to get to know someone and have different opinions of the south that have good things associated with them.  A southern garden, the wonderful food, the beatiful houses and porches, southern charm ect.  No worries!
