how to soothe when you're weaning??

My DD BF's for comfort and obviously for nutrition. We are gradually weaning her very slowly, however now that I'm weaning I notice she wants to BF when she's upset and can't put herself to sleep (probably why she's so chunky)! she will not take a pacifier and if I keep giving her the breast when she's upset I'll never stop producing milk. Anyone have any suggestions? I do not want to cause any emotional trauma - hence weaning her super slow...

    How about dipping the paci in BM to see if she'll take it that way?

    i'm going thru this right now too....keep trying different paci's-- my DD is almost 4 months and didn't start taking one until 3 weeks ago...start with latex (she liked playtex ortho-pro at first, now loves the silicone nuk).  i got her to take it with white noise and swinging in the swing at first.  keep snuggling and rocking her.  Good luck!!
