Valentine's cards at daycare
Should I have Joe handmake the cards (fingerpaint) or just buy them? Joe's schoolmates and their parents tend to go "all out" on holidays, so I don't want him to be the only one who brings the store-bought cards.
Do the parents at your kids' daycares give sweets or little gifts or just cards?

I don't have DC experience, but I think fingerpainted cards would be adorable! But don't do it if it would stress you out.

I've always done an age appropriate treat with our cards, which are store bought... I just don't have time to get that creative! (cookies, cupcakes, v-day puzzles (as M got older), pencils, etc in a lil bag)

Since Elena is in MDO this year, I was actually trying to decide what to do about Valentines cards and treats.
And I haven't decided, so not much help there!
I was thinking of something homemade like you mentioned, but really, do you want homemade cards from *other* people's kids? It kind of just makes you feel guilty for throwing away someone else's artwork. BUT, it is so much cooler than just the 'princess' valentine's cards we would buy otherwise!
I just don't know!

Last year I just let Alex pic out the Valentines cards from the store and we passed them out to the other kids. (He picked Tigger cards last year)
Some of the other parents did little treats, too.
Oh yikes, I didnt even think of that.Sounds really cute though! I've been trying to find small vday packs of animal cookies. Anyone seen any? I think the handmade card is cute!
