2nd Trimester

UGH over 500,000 people.............

They are expecting over 500k people IN ADDITION to the ones that work downtown for the Superbowl parade at 12.  There are people who have been sitting on the street since 9 am.....it's like 10 degrees out and snowing like crazy....

I love me some Steeler football, but seriously, it's football, not the end of the economic crisis.

I just pray that they are all gone at 4:30 so I can get HOME!

Re: UGH over 500,000 people.............

  • Geez - I knew Steeler Fans were dedicated.  But I didn't know how dedicated.

  • You sound like me with the inauguration. I work very close to DC so all access roads to the city were closed-getting to and from work that day was rediculous. Although I have to admit if I wasn't pregnant I would have so gone downtown for it.

     Good luck!

  • GL with that trip home!!! maybe try to find somewhere to go and eat on the way home to let them all clear out of there!!

  • That's what the parade was like when the Phillies won the World Series. I've never seen so many people in one place. They were out on the street before the sun even came up.?

It's definitely exciting though! Enjoy! ?

  • Why can't they be like normal fans who are excited the day of and the day after and leave it at that.  It doesn't have to be a year long celebration, it's only football.
  • At least they are back home! You should have seen the craziness here in Tampa!

Ugh,  and Congrats on your win.  It was an awesome game.....It made me cry, lol.  Still love my Cards...Tongue Tied

  • I'm orignally from the Burgh & still work for a co downtown - almost had to be there this week but my trip was cancelled. I was disappointed about missing the parade at 1st, but after reading this, maybe notsomuch now.?

  • We moved to Pittsburgh over the summer and I have never seen  such dedicated fans ever, and I used to live in Cleveland. I am lucky because I work out by the airport and don't have to deal with downtown very often.
