So, we all get the unsollicited (sp?) advice, but I'd like to know, what's the silliest, stupidest, most far-fetched piece of advice you've heard? And what was your response, too : )
OMG are you serious?! Stupid. That's like the default thing to say- it's so blaringly obvious but people still feel the need to tell you out loud. Geez.

The best thing that's worked for me is handing out my OB's business cards. If someone has a rude comment about something I should or shouldn't be doing I politely hand them a business card and let them know that they can take up any issues with my OB. It usually shuts them right up and I don't have cause a scene by yelling or punching them which is what I want to do.
I had someone tell me to make sure I eat well. FOR REAL! How dumb do they think I am?!
I was eating lunch in the break room at work... almost finished with my grilled chicken, rice, and peas. This guy walking through says something like "you need to eat a lot more than that for your baby." I wasn't too happy and I kind of snapped at him "DON"T tell me that I am not eating enough. I eat all day long!"
I don't know why everyone has to either state the obvious "well, you think you're tired now - you know the baby will keep you up all night once it's born" REALLY??? I had NEVER heard of anything like that before!
dont cry at all while you are pregnant or you will have a baby that cries all the time. and....this is more an after you give birth piece of advice, but I was told you cant shower and wash your hair after you have the baby or you will get sick and die...lol...The first one I just smiled b/c the advice came from and 85 year old lady. The second piece about the shower I just told them they were an idiot
I had some jerkface tell me on Superbowl Sunday that I shouldn't be eating chicken fingers! He said all the fried food isn't good! Um hey butthead...are you with me all day watching me eat well? Oh No? Well then how do you know this is all I eat?!?! It's the one time I eat something sorta bad and someone has to be right there with a comment.
