Toddler vomit is gross
Eli has been coughing the past couple of days, due to drainage I think. He's not really even sick, just a little cold or whatever. Anyway, he was coughing pretty bad last night in bed, and I was doing dishes, so I ask DH to listen out for him. A few minutes later I see DH going upstairs, and then he comes right back down. He threw up. OK, I dry my hands and we go up to get him cleaned up.
OMG. It was nasty! And everywhere! Poor Eli was still trying to sleep, all cuddled up in his puke covered blanket. It was all over his face, in his hair, ears, all over his clothes, everywhere. His sheets and blankets were soaked, and his stuffed animals were covered. DH was about to lose it, so I got Eli up, and got him in the bath. DH yanked everything out of the bed and changed his sheets. Eli was not happy to be in the tub. Even after washing, the smell had saturated into his skin. We got everything all cleaned up, but the stench still lingered in the air. And of course Eli is awake now and doesn't want to go back to bed. So after about 30 mins of rocking, and another 30 mins of cuddling on the couch, I finally put him to bed awake, but drowsy.
But you know, he didn't really cough at all for the rest of the night. I guess he got all that junk out of his throat when he puked. He still had a faint smell of it this morning, but I'm hoping after a day at school it will go away. But man, I have alot of laundry to do when I get home. 
But he still feels great today!

I had to air the girls room out for a couple of days last year when they got sick like that. ?I think if you put vinegar in with your wash it will help take the scent out better.

Me too! I can't do it... DH has to or we'd be cleaning up after me too. He knew this before we had kids. I deal with blood he does vomit. We have a good marriage like that!
