you need to be more specific . . . what KIND of thyroid disorder?? there are many and each comes with it's own set of feelings. i have no thyroid due to a severe thyroid disorder.
I have a feeling at the base of my throat that is like a pulsing, like my heart could jump out of it. it doesnt burn at all so I dont think its heartburn and tums dont help. Also my hands have been going numb randomly and those seem to be main symptoms that I associate with considering a lot of the others seem like they could be pregnancy related as well. I plan on going to the doctor, just curious if I could wait until my offical appointment on the 16th or something I may need to get seen sooner for.
what she said. there are tons. i have a slight one, didn't even know it except for a tightness in my throat...
and if you're asking b/c you're tired and/o gaining weight, you're pregnant... i would think now not an easy time to pin point a thyroid issue if not already been done...
OK we posted at the same time. thumping of a heart beat is normal, i had that, and it wasn't attributed to my thyroid, but again pregnant. numb hands, i would google it first, may be something pg related, if not, call your dr if you dont want to wait before the appt.
I have a hypo thyroid after having surgery to remove two cyst. I have two new cyst and I an getting a biopsy Wednesday to check them out. I feel tired all the time and I can feel my nodules (cyst).

swallow while touching the lump/bump in your throat. If it moves up while you swallow then it's your thyroid. Can be enlarged/have masses on it for various reasons, usually a benign problem though. Call your doc!
I noticed my thyroid was enlarged about 6 months after delivering my 2nd baby. I actually went in for a sore throat and while feeling my glands the doctor noticed how large my thyroid was on one side, and told me to see my primary care doctor asap to get it checked out.
So I had it blood work drawn which all came back "normal." Then my Endocrinologist ordered an ultrasound, which confirmed a large nodule. Then Dr. wanted to do a FNA (fine needle exasperation) or biopsy. That too came back "harmless." Dr. told me to schedule an annual ultrasound and blookwork to make sure it's not changing.
When I went to my first prenatal appt. I asked if they were checking my thyroid levels, she said no and that I needed to contact my Endo. to see what they wanted to do. I spoke with them today, and they want me to come in tomorrow for bloodwork then an appointment next week to go over everything.
It can be harmful to your unborn baby if you have a thyroid problem, so if you are really worried then I would call and tell them your concern. GL
