How do you get them to stay in there for naptime or bedtime?
At naptime Addie usually plays in her crib for a bit before going to sleep, I can't figure out how she'll stay in bed or sleep at all.
Also, she wakes up at 2 or 6 sometimes, talks to herself, fully awake, and then goes back down. I don't know what will make her go back to sleep if she can get out and play.
I've got the knob protectors so she can't get out or lock herself in, and I'll be searching for our old baby monitor, I don't want her to get scared either when she can't get out. but what else do you do?
Re: another bed transition question
We haven't mastered naps yet, but to be honest, I like to nap with her on weekends anyway.
At night, we put her to sleep completely with us the first week. Then K left and I have been putting her in her room awake. She usually stays in there except last night she got up a couple of times. I just sat in her room with her for a few minutes until she got good and asleep.
The first week, she was in our room at 2 and 6 like clockwork. The past week she has been much better about waking up and putting herself back to sleep. Admittedly, she was in my room at 2 this morning, but I was too tired to take her back to her bed.
We usually take her back to her room and she goes back down. I think the newness of it excites her.
We don't have the knob protectors, but I should get one so she can't lock herself in. We shut the sleeping part of the house off and the only places she can go are her room and my room.
Phew all that and it wasn't very helpful other than just keep putting her in her bed and talking up the big girl bed.

We sing Eloise to sleep as she's laying in bed for naps and nighttime, so no help there.
But when she wakes up, she doesn't get out of bed, she lays there and cries. At night it's pitch black in her room, but even for naps I think she's gotten out of bed once in almost 4mo of being out of the crib.
