Kaden has RSV!!

He has had a fever every night of 102.6 or so. Runny nose, bad bad cough. I took him to the doctor this am and she said he has early RSV! I was shocked, but he is doing ok right now. Fever is down and looks like I won't be back at work for the rest of the week. My poor baby. I hope he feels better soon and this doesn't progress. Just wanted to share.

    Poor baby. ?My DD had that last month and unfortunately we were in the hospital for 4 days. ?Thank goodness you caught it early. ?Lots of fluids and lots of rest for both of you.

    My doctor just listened to Kaden and also noticed he had an ear infection. I believe there is a rapid test they can do on them, but my doctor just basicly said this is rsv in early stages.

    Glad they caught it.  DD has had a runny nose and cough for months, now. So far so good, but I always wonder, especially when her breathing sounds a little raspy at night.

    Jacob has it too.  We have been at the hospital 1 time and the Dr office twice.  Both of his ears are also infected.

    We are doing breathing threatments every 4 hours around the clock, antibotics, steroids, and tylenol in teh hopes of keeping him out of teh hospital.

    Sorry! DD had it as well and we got one abuterol treatment in the doctor's office and take home meds we gave her for 4 days. Did not get antibotics or anything. Kaiser typically doesn't give out lots of meds for babies...

     

    I hope Kaden feels better soon.

     

    FYI: DD has another round of illness that may be RSV. Day care I think is where we got it...
