s/o: convertible car seats

do any of them have a base so that you can transfer it from one car to the other like an infant seat? or will we have to buy one for each car?

    I don't think they have bases for the big carseats.  Or if you only want one, you can always uninstall and reinstall each time you put it in the car which is kind of a PITA.

    I don't think there are bases, but I know that many convertibles are easy to install and uninstall.

    convertible seats don't have bases that detach, they're all one piece.  so you'll either have to move it between 2 cars or get 2 seats. 

    we got a Britax Marathon for my car since we're in it the most and got a less expensive convertible seat for DH's truck.

    I have the Britax in my car and DH has the Wal-Mart cheapie since Kohen maybe rides in his car 5 times a year.  When I say cheapie....I mean cheapie :)
