2nd Trimester

Is anyone else's baby breech right now?

Just curious.  Our little girl is frank breech - her butt is down and her feet are up by her head.  Anyone else?

  • My baby was breech at the big u/s too, but she'll flip over many times before it's anything to worry about.  There's still lots of room in there!

  • Our little guy is....I am hoping he gets his act in gear and flips around. Everyone keeps telling me I have plenty of time, though....
  • Mine prefers to be on his side with his head always to the right and feet to the left.

  • Mine is! I'm hoping he'll change positions soon! :)
  • My little girl is...our boy is head down in the crotch

  • Isn't that normal? I thought they didn't turn until third tri.
  • She'll be in a different position soon. Babies of this gestational age move ALL THE TIME.

  • our little girl is footling breech. no need to worrk though, they flip around so much.

  • Mine prefers to be in the transverse position right now- her head is on my right and her feet are on my left.  She likes to swim around though (and decidedly does not like to have her heartbeat taken nor being pushed down upon by the ultrasound wand thing).  Since I'm only 20 weeks my doc says nothing to worry about- she'll turn when I'm 7-8 months.
  • Our little man was breeched at the 20 wk u/s, but doc said not to worry until 32 wks or so...
  • My first pregnancy was breech until 8.5 months. And let me tell you, a baby turning upside down in your almost 9 months pregnant belly is NOT a pleasant experience. :)
  • Don't worry - when I went for my big ultrasound she/he was in breech position, but by the time the ultrasound was about over the baby had flipped and was head down. The nurse told me they move constantly at this age because there is so much room in there!
  • She's breach right now and seeks content to stay that way.  I'm still consistently getting kicked below the bikini line on the left side.  I'm really hoping she moves because I'm hoping to avoid a c-section.

Anyone try any of the old wive's tales for getting a baby to turn?  I've been doing the flashlight move every now and again, obviously it isn't working.

Yes, I'm not worried - just wondering!

  • my DS was breech until I was about 8 months then he flipped.  Other than labor that was the worst pain I had ever felt in my life!!!!

  • I would guess he is only because all of the kicks I feel are still really low.  I have only felt movement near my belly button once or twice.

  • Mine wasnt breech so much as sideways. But then he kept flipping over. LOL! if thats any sign of what to expect I think he will be busy.
