  • Gosh, I haven't even thought of it.  Probably nothing. Maybe just go out for dinner.... how romantic huh? LOL

  • I don't think we are doing gifts, but are planning a romantic night out. Maybe I'll surprise him with some sexy underthings...

  • Is it terrible that I don't want to get him anything?? I made a huge deal out of it last year and got zip, same with Christmas and Birthday. I got stuff for Christmas but that was it. I'm sick of putting in the effort when he doesn't seem to give a damn.

ditto. i even got the sexy underthings yesterday!

  • We are not getting each other anything, we are just going out to eat at Outback, my boss gave me a $50 gift card for christmas, so are going to be cheap and use that and not spend money.
  • I bought my DH and DS custom printed M&Ms and a Valentine.  For DH the M&Ms say "Daddy To Be" and have his pic printed on the other side.  For DS they say "Big Brother" and have his pic printed on the other side.  I can't wait til they get here.  DS will be VERY excited - he's 7 so having his pic on a M&M will be a big deal to him :)
  • I made a huge deal out of it last year because it was the first one we had together since he was in Iraq for the 3 before. I think this year we will do something small like go to the movies and have a nice dinner together. I will just get him a card.
  • We never do anything for Valentine's day.  I told him I want a big heart with loads of chocolate in it so that's pretty much a sure thing.  We have a birthday party to go to the night before.  If anything, we'll just cook at home and maybe I'll bake a cake...with strawberry frosting.

Yup, its official.  I'm baking a cake.

  • We don't really do gifts. We always get each other a card, then we go out for dinner.
  • I think I'm sending him godiva at the office and we are just going to go out for dinner and to a movie.
  • Nothing out of the ordinary:  dinner and then I bought him a blu-ray DVD he has been wanting very badly.  I'm sure I'll get flowers and some candy.  We're unoriginal, but he'd be in the dog house if didn't do anything.  Good luck!

i second that! haha he is super cliche with valentines day- it's always 2 dozen red roses and a bear- nothing romantic ever! i have always tried to do weekend "getaways" in the past like atlantic city or the poconos but i'm tired of being the one to figure it all out!  and i have like 6 bears (this year i am tempted to tell him not to get me a bear)-- flowers, imo, are almost a waste of money and i would rather HIM plan for us to go out to dinner and give me a card (i never get a card)- the only year flowers won me over was when he sent me 200 long stemed roses- i was swimming in roses! it was amazing (he almost set himself up for never trumping that- my new high expectations).

  • We are going to NYC & seeing "In the Heights" on broadway & then dinner with another couple..

  • My DH is in Afghanistan this year so I'm like a kid in middle school again. I've gotten him all kinds of cutesy little gifts that have hearts or be mine on them. I even made him a pillow case using glow in the dark paint and painted the girls then smudged them on the pillow LOL he will love it! I'm making a cake in jar as well....never tried this before but seems like a neat idea. https://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Cake-in-a-Jar/Detail.aspx

You are lucky he's even done that!!!!!!!!!! Mine thinks Valentine's Day is ridiculous.... sorry I don't! I think it is a great day to just tell your s/o that they mean the world to you! LOL OY!

  • Not a whole lot. I got him a cute little onesie for the baby that jokes about one of his hobbies. I couldn't wait and already gave it to him!

He is also going to Daytona that weekend. I found out today that I might be tagging along, but either way, we'll go out to dinner this weekend to celebrate. This also helps save us from the crazy crowds.?

  • We have no plans and have decided not to do anything for either of us, we will be away on our babymoon then aways, so a trip to the Dominican is what we are getting for each other! Stick out tongue

  • We are being thrifty as well... We have a couples massage gift certificate from our wedding to use up and a gift card for our favourite restaurant from Christmas to use. It will be nice to treat each other without breaking the bank this year!
  • I never get flowers on Valentine's day because "He doesn't want to be like everyone else".  I get flowers more on random days.  He usually does pretty good, I made him take me to a really nice dinner last year and it was amazing, I gave him lots of places to choose from that we had never been to before and he picked one that he actually got a table that overlooked the city.  It was so beautiful and I almost cried.  It was great.  He says it's my turn this year.  I got some white gold hoops that I had been looking at.  I'm good with that. Can't complain.  I still haven't figured out what I'm going to get him though!
  • I think we are going to go ultra simple this year.  But I would kind of like to incorporate a babymoon into our plans. Any ideas?
