I know I have seen posts on this before, but it was way before I was ever thinking about it. Apparently the sales aren't as good as they used to be, but the February sales have started. I may or may not buy one now, but I'm doing research.
I checked carseatdata.org, and the marathon, roundabout and boulevard all have good to great fit ratings in my car. I just don't know which is better/necessary!

Re: which Britax?
We have the Boulevard in my car because Joe is usually in my car and it seemed safer with the side impact protection etc. than the Marathon. We have the Marathon in Jason's car because it seems slightly smaller and easier to carry through airports etc and Joe isn't in his car as much (like 2.5 miles a day from daycare to home).
this is exactly us as well
Ditto this for both my girls. We have two Roundabouts - one for each car. Sarah will be 3 in June and isn't close to growing out of it yet.
This is true, but you don't want to be forced to move to a booster before they are truly ready (there are guidelines online about 4 years 40 lbs minimum, not falling asleep, keeping the belt positioned correctly, etc). ?But - there are good options now to move to like the Graco Nautilus/Britax Frontier that convert from forward facing only carseat with harness to full back booster to backless booster.
DS is in a Roundabout that he won't outgrow soon, but he will most likely outgrow by height before he is ready for a booster (he is 90% on height). ?We have loved this car seat, but I used to wish we had gone with a seat with higher harness slots like a Sunshine Kids Radian 65 or a Britax Marathon/Boulevard. ?Now that there are such good seats that convert to boosters and harness for such a high weight, I'm ok with getting one of those when he outgrows the Roundabout.?
