She was so good. And maybe I am just super hormonal but I kept thinking about her mom and how she missed her daughter sing at the Superbowl. And I wanted to cry.
I was wondering if she would be able to make it and sing the whole song. I know I would have broken down. I about started to cry about half way through...I can't imagine how she must be feeling right now.
The close up on her just before she began made it clear that she was rather shaken, this being her first appearance since the death of her family. She absolutely nailed it though - and I'm not a fan of embellishing the anthem much. Loved her jacket too.

I, like another poster said, am not a fan of going too overboard with the anthem, but I was really touched by that performance. It made me feel proud of her. She did a wonderful job.
I agree with all of you. I think she did an amazing job and I couldnt help but wonder if she would be able to make it through the whole song....well she did and it was amazing.
and oh, I did cry. Damn hormones.

Faith was good, too! I really love her. Unfortunately, when I posted this right after Jennifer sang, I'd momentarily forgotten about Faith. LOL
