contractions...SOOO not funny

Okay, seriously the contractions need to stop. They have been going about every 15 mins for a couple of hours. If I walk around they seem to cease but if I am sitting for any length of time (more than 5 mins) they come back. DH isnt even here. I sent him out to go have fun with a friend of his who is up from San Diego for the weekend.

They seem to be every 10-15 mins and have been coming on for about 90 mins-2 hrs. I just called my OB's answering service. I am waiting a call back from the on call doc. We will see what they say.

I'm sorry! I heard a bath should help, and eating something usually stopped mine.

They so aren't fun. But the good news is if they aren't closer like 3 -5 mins and lasting for a min or more usually the Dr. just says it's normal in this stage of the game.

The doc just called and said for me to go to the hospital and she would have the nurse check my cervix since the doc didn't do that at my last appt. I just called DH to come home and take me up there. They seem to have stopped, but I am going to go anyway. I would rather be safe than sorry.

Good luck. I contracted everyday for 4 weeks before birth. They would come and go independent of what I was doing. I never got past 2.5 cm dilated with them.
