My mom just called and said lets get a crib today well I have looked but not sure thought I would have more time. Mom want to buy/order TODAY!. I should be thankful that she want to buy it for us but have no no clue which one is good!!!!

Why? I fell in love with it when I saw it. It got good reviews in my baby bargains book. Now that we have it, I love it. It is gorgeous with our bedding and seems very sturdy! Hopefully baby likes it

Baby Cache Taylor Lifetime Crib from BRU. We love it, but did have to send it back once b/c it was scratched. I would order sooner than later.

we got the DaVinci Kalani from BRU, it was online only though...It was in our price range and is convertible. It is beautiful & sturdy.
Charlie's crib: Babi Italia Pinehurst in a honey finish, Lovely - very sturdy and looks like real furniture
This baby's crib: Carters, white crib, not sure of the model name. It was less expensive but had modern styling. Not quite as large as the Babi Italia but also not quite as sturdy.

I highly recommend a convertible crib!! All you will have to purchase is the bed frame for when it converts to the full-size bed and those are super cheap!
we bought a ragazzi crib off craigslist. I really wanted a crib not made in china, don't know why because everything else in our nursery is! Anyhow the crib was made in canada, and it was a steal. $200 for the matress too.

we got this crib and dresser at a local store, but i've heard of lots of other places selling Munire. we love it!! it's beautifully made, really sturdy and converts to a toddler bed and full-size bed for future use.

What? Pali Laurie Crib (discontinued style 1 or 2 years)
Why? Pali does not have any recalls that I can find- it was made in Italy of Hardwood and I happened to find it at a warehouse sale for a boutique store (a reputable one here) for $200 , it was a discontinued style but not a used crib.
My friend also bought the same one to replace the Simplicity crib that she had that had recalls because she was not comfortable using it anymore even with the fix.
The only drawback is that it does not convert into a full bed- it converts into a toddler bed. We were willing to get another bed for her down the road since we figure we will be in a better spot financially then.
