How old was your dc when you started to give bottles of pumped milk???

    Right away and she eats from the breast and bottle with no problem now.

    At a week, every once in awhile we have a problem with her getting on my breast after a bottle, but rarely!

    I gave her three on day 6 - because one of my nipples was so cracked, I couldn't nurse with it. She was fine - no confusion. We did it again at almost 4 weeks and she was still fine.

    I started around 2 weeks.  I noticed that when he drank 4 ozs from the bottle before bed, he would sleep much better.  He hasn't had any nipple confusion and neither did my older son.

    He was just shy of 4 weeks.  My pedi recommended introducing a bottle any where from 3 to 6 weeks.

    hoping to save someone from my fate....give it around 4 weeks and then keep giving one every day (or at least every other day).  I didn't know about this second part.  DS happily took the bottle at 4 weeks.  Around 7 weeks we had a 5 day period where we didn't give him one.  Now he won't take the bottle.  He starts day care tomorrow and it's going to be ugly.

    5 weeks.  Now she takes a 4oz bottle every night before bed.  My husband enjoys the evening ritual.  I pump before I go to bed for the next night.
