Look at my chart that's why, because I've gotten positives and had a failed O or something. If I stopped at the first one I would have missed my chance many times over.

Ok. You test, then if you don't get your 3 temps above cover, you test again. Makes sense. When you test + 2 days in a row, what's that about?
I test the day after to see that the surge ended....which it usually does after I get a positive--my last 2 cycles I had 2+ days of surge so I just like to see the trend. No reason more than just my curiosity
because you could be catching the very beginning of the surge or the very end and by testing it gives you a better idea of when you O'd to compare it to your charts. I always keep testing until it comes up negative.

plus, since I had a longer surge (with no temp spike) it meant that I should keep having sex. If I would have stopped with the first positive opk I would not have had the best timing for o (which I think was yesterday)
Ok, that totally makes sense. I guess I assume I'm as close to the beginning of my surge as I'm going to get because I test in the morning and the night. I've only used them two cycles, but both times were -- the night before my +. Then the next morning I wake up and temps are above cover. So, I figure what's the point of testing again (for me). Thanks for the info ladies.
You aren't supposed to test in the AM with an OPK. LH builds up during the day. I always test between 5-8. Sometimes I don't get off work until 8:30, so I have to test later.
