Stupid tax question...
And don't flame me for not knowing...I'm not good with this stuff!
How does the whold child tax credit thing work? I assumed that only if you used daycare or things like that, you would get some of those expenses back. I claimed 0 on my taxes, but will claim DD as my dependent....how does it work?

You get child tax credit for having a child. The credit for having that child in daycare is the dependent care credit. Read all about them here...
