I am just looking for any helpful travel tips you can give me. We are flying with the girls (6 months old now) next week to Florida for a week. (flying NY-FL so only about a 2.5 hour flight) Our flight is at noon. We are also taking our nanny and decided not to purchase another seat for the babies and figured between me, DH and the nanny, we would rotate, if needed, holding a baby.
Ok, so I'll take any suggestions! TIA!!!
And totally sorry for the repetitve questionas I know this has been asked many many time!
Re: I know it's been asked a ZILLION times but...
For your carry on stuff, make sure you have new toys for the babies to play with and change of clothes for everyone, adults included. Travel light on the plane and then check everything else. We gave them bagels for take off and landing, chewing or drinking will help to change the pressure in their ears. For a 6 month old, make sure to have bottles for that time. You can take on baby formula and just add water or nurse if you are bfing during that time. Most likely, the lull of the engines will put them to sleep after you are cruising so good luck.
I traveled to England with two one year olds, just H and me while I was in my first trimester. They did great.
I figured I'd check back b/f going to bed...
Thanks for the tips!
Mrs.Lee--what size Huggies Overnights? I don't even think I have ever seen them? They wear Kirkland size 3.
I was so happy w/ the help we received from TSA when we went thru security. As other's have mentioned, make sure they're taking a bottle on the way up and down - we flew at 6 mos from mn to Atl and the boys either slept the whole time or played peekaboo w/ the surrounding passengers. It was surprisingly uneventful.
good luck
