3rd Trimester

Did you know what you were having before the ultrasound?

I'm still pretty early and can't find out what we're having until March.  I keep saying I just feel like its a girl.  DH says I only feel like its a girl because that what I really want.  Did you all have a feeling about what you were having before you had the ultrasound?

  • my feeling was wrong

  • with DS, everyone kept telling me I was carrying "BOY." ... sure enough, he was a boy.

This pregnancy was so different, I thought for sure it would be a girl. Guess what? So much for that theory. This one is a boy too.

  • Yes, I was convinced I was having a boy....so was DH and my mom and MIL...but we are having a girl!

  • I don't know how, but I knew from the day I found out I was pregnant that it was a boy.  There simply was no other choice.  I was convinced it was a boy up until about 2 hours before the big u/s and then I got really nervous that I was wrong....

Ditto! I was in shock when the tech said we were having a girl because I swore we were having a boy. My mom called it though ;)

  • I thought from the beginning that it was a boy.  I was right,
  • I had a dream that I had a boy when I was in second tri, and its a boy
  • I was dead wrong!!!! Some random old guy came up to me a few weeks ago and goes' "its a boy, isnt it?" How in the heck some old guy knows and I didnt is beyond me!
  • I thought I knew, I was so sure I even bought "him" a wardrobe and shoes. the him is a little girl, so i think feelings are off sometimes.
  • DH and I were in complete shock. We just knew that Owen was a girl. We were even calling him Elianna!
  • I felt extremely strongly about having a girl and that's what we are having.

  • everyone said they thought girl..so then we thought girl...we were all wrong!

  • When I first got pregnant I thought boy.  Then my pregnancy was going the same as a friends who just had a girl so I changed my thought to girl.  I'm having a boy

You have a 50% chance of being right.

  • We both thought it was a girl and it was.  We both were secretly hoping for a girl though so maybe that had more to do with it.  (not that we wouldn't have been happy if she was a boy of course)

I agree with your DH. My feeling was right, but that's because I really wanted a girl. I had a 50/50 chance.

  • I swore it was a boy, drempt it was a boy, and it's 100% girl.
  • I thought we were having a boy, but I was wrong.

  • I had a strong strong feeling that it was a boy and I was right.  Before getting PG, I assumed I would have a girl because my family only produces girls.

Around 6 weeks, I just had a gut instinct that it would be a boy (yes, I know a 6 week old fetus doesn't have a gender yet).

  • I REALLY wanted a girl..."felt" it was a girl...had all the "old wives tale symptoms" of a girl...and it was a boy.

So, unfortunately, my intuition wasn't right.  But I'm really getting used to the idea of a boy now.

  • my feeling was wrong ...until the night before big u/s i dreamt of the sex and i was right
  • I did have a strong feeling it was a boy this time. I had totally different symptoms this pregnancy and was craving sweets this time as vs. salty stuff in my first pregnancy. I had a girl(whom I lost sadly at 22 weeks) my first pregnancy. I was right! It's a boy!

  • I always had this feeling that we were having a boy. Then a few weeks before the u/s I had a dream about the u/s and finding out. It turns out my dreams came true...it was really wierd the u/s felt kinda dejavu. He showed us his parts just the way it happened in my dream.
  • Over many weeks before my u/s I had three gender dreams and in my dreams I had a baby boy.  Turns out my dreams were right on.

  • I'd be willing to be 50% of people were right and 50% of people were wrong...Stick out tongue
