Who pays $12 for cotton candy?

Apparently I do! DH and I took my stepdaughter to the circus last night. It was the Ringling Bros Over the Top - can we just say awesomely phenomenal?! Anyway, The cotton candy guy came over and I wanted to get cotton candy for my 8 year old, I ask how much it is and he says $12! At first I thought I misunderstood...unfortunately no! It was freaking $12! it did come with a hat but holy crap!
