bleeding in first trimester

in 1st Trimester

I can't sleep. I've been up for a while. Yesterday afternoon we had sex and I started bleeding and it hasn't stopped. I'm really freaked out. Its the weekend and my doctor isn't going to be in. Should I go to the hospital or just calm down? The blood is pink...

I'm not sure what I should do. Anyone else experience this?

    Lots of people on here get spotting after sex.  It seems to be very common.  I have actually had brown spotting every day so far except for about 1 week after the bfp and a few days a couple weeks ago.  I was real concerned at first too with mine, but the dr said the baby was fine.  Now it is just my new normal.

    Like pp's said, try to relax.  I have been bleeding and spotting on and off since my bfp and everything with my pg is fine.  My doctor said that some women are more prone to bleed that others.  If there is no cramping you should be alright.  Take it easy this weekend and if you are still worried about it on Monday call you doctor.

    I read your posts and made myself go to sleep. I thankfully don't have any cramping; just a little nausea which I'm sure is normal. Well, when I woke up the spotting had stopped. Thanks for responding. I was really scared. i may call the doc Monday just to be sure and I think I'll tell my hubby to keep it in his pants for a while! Yes

    My midwife let me know that I may spot after sex. She then said that if I did I should wait a week before "going at it" again. I don't know if your Dr. will say the same thing... I just wanted to pass it on.

    I talked to the nurse today and she said the same thing. 1 week with out strenuous activity or intercourse. I'm relieved to have an answer.
