Anyone's LO have a cold/sick?

And what did you do for congestion?  We have a vaporizer in her room and suck the boogers out with that pear looking thing, but that's about it.  I don't know what else to do to make her comfortable.

    DD has one right now (as do I). The best thing you can do for DC is to buy saline drops. I use the Little Noses brand. Just a couple drops in each nostril really breaks it up. I then use the nasal aspirator a few minutes later to suck out the snot.

    Ditto this entirely.  It's best to use those saline drops before eating or going to sleep.  Also, try to keep your DD elevated to help any congestion from draining into ears.

    Fill the bathroom up w/ steam and then sit in there with her for 5-10 minutes - keep the steam going while you're in there.  Then use the aspirator on her nose.  It might take awhile for things too loosen up, but they will come loose.  I thought steaming was a lot more effective (and less traumautic) than the saline drops.

    I do all the above except for the steam, haven't done that one yet. I took DS to the doc for his and they put him on breathing treatments.
