I remember you posting a pic of Ethan's 1st birthday invite and loved it! Now that I am closer to the time to start planning, can I ask...Did you do that yourself? If so, what program did you use? And where did you have them printed? If you didn't DIY, where did you have them made?
Thanks!
Re: Doodlebug re: 1st b-day invite
Married to my BFF on 8.13.05 (after dating 5 years)!
DS born 2.14.08. DD born 9.30.09.
I actually made it from scratch in Adobe Photoshop Elements. I've downloaded all of the free digi scrapbooking backgrounds and accessories from https://shabbyprincess.com/downloads.asp... I used materials from the "Moody Blues" kit for Ethan's invite and we changed some of the blue dots to lime green in PS Elements. This invite was really pretty simple, basically cropping the backgrounds and pics to the size I needed, adding frames and text boxes.
I had these printed at Kinkos... it cost around $15 for 24 invites, not including envelopes. I made them printed 4 to a large sheet that they print on their laser printer, and then I cut them out myself. They do not print borderless at Kinkos. Right after I had these printed, I found out that you can print your own jpg's at Costco on their photo cards - 50 cards for only $14.99 including envelopes. They are printed on matte photo paper and look great... that's what I did for our Christmas cards. I'll be using them for all things like this in the future
To get started, you just create a blank file in Photoshop elements to the dimensions of what you are printing, and go from there. You could do this for whatever size you are wanting. Let me know if you need any help!
