would this be inappropriate....ie: etsy

We're going on a trip tomorrow, and just realized that we'll be about 10mins away from a seller I just bought something from. She emailed me to say she was almost done and would be mailing tomorrow. Would it be ok to suggest that I just pick it up (or meet somewhere).....It wouldn't bother me, but I figured some people might not be ok with that...What do ya'll think...

    Personally, I wouldn't be offended.  However, if I didn't know the buyer, I would probably suggest that we meet at a neutral location.

    I meet buyers pretty regularly :)

    When I realize I'm near a buyer, I always offer to meet them somewhere to drop off an item and refund shipping costs.  I drive over 50 miles a day, so I definitely don't mind meeting up with a buyer.  :D
