Red!?!

I get that you're having your own personal cab experience...but come entertain me.  Either here or there.....I dont even care.  JUST DO IT!

Re: Red!?!

  • 10000000000000000000000000000 Apologies.

I made dinner arrangements with friends for what I THOUGHT was tomorrow night. Oops it turned out to be tonight. I left work as discussed and was about 100 ft from my office door when my phone rang. One of the friends was calling to say that there was this HUGE Sri Lankan protest in Toronto that had taken over the area we'd planned to go for dinner and that we needed to find another restaurant. In my stunned silence I started to process that he meant this evening and not tomorrow evening. I covered well and said I was just getting some money from the bank machine and would be in a cab. I re-routed them to a restaurant I designed (where I knew we would be well-taken care of) and I showed up about 5 minutes fashionably late. Of course I blurted out to them that I was a goof and thought our dinner was tomorrow.

Unfortunately, the cab ride there was rather difficult. The driver clearly had eaten some unfortunate goat that had gone past it's expiration date and decided to let er rip in the car. It was the only bought of M/S I had today but I couldn't stop the Vurping. I had to have him pull over, threw the money at him and walked the rest of the way to the restaurant. My return cab ride home was non eventful thankfully. I'm exhausted now though.?

  • Well I hope dinner was good!!!  I went out to eat today too and I tell you it made me feel so good to get to eat with out cooking and with out cleaning up....oh and with out fast food!!  Now I am watching the food network...I will be the size of a barn by the end of the summer with my obsession with food.

I need someone smart to chat with.  Not that there aren't plenty of smart women but sadly they are being diverted elsewhere and not chatting away and passing the time.

Did you get the link I sent?!

  • Oh Oh Oh....I may be really late with this....but you know I'm a busy girl that can't bump it up all day.

    Fried Okra:

  • I totally did get the link. I think I ruptured something laughing.?

Dinner was great actually. We went to Six Steps which is a resto I designed on the show and I had the Fettucine oh god I can't remember but it involved shrimp - really good ones. My friend Daniel and I split the Toffee Caramel pudding/cake/basket o' brown sugar with vanilla ice cream and our friend Kate had the Banana flambe. YUMMMMMMY.?

  • That all makes my Mexican dinner and pudding dessert very anti-climatic.

I thought ya'll would like it.  What's even better is I JUST saw it this morning on my friends FB.  Timing really is just everything.

  • It was electronic Kismit!

The fried okra don't look nearly as gross as the regular okra do. I'm pretty much open to anything if it is fried. Better if it is fried in Panko Batter.

Food Network 9:30am Friday mornings EST that's when my show airs in the US. I will let you know when one of my episodes is coming up so you can listen to my potty mouth.?

  • You'll have to let me know....even if my busy busy social life keeps me out of the house that's what DVR is for.  Ya'll wouldn't know nothing 'bout that in Cuba.  Wink

I really want chocolate cake.  Or even a pop-tart (thanks Jenerally).

  • Here in Cuba-canada we call it PVR - PERSONAL VIDEO RECORDER. So I know all about it and police ours like it is made of gold. I get RIGHT bent out of shape when someone messes with my taping or if something screws up. Oh there is hell to pay.

You guys are a few seasons behind it seems. We just finished our fifth and final one. 91 episodes in all. I've done like 30 restaurants in 4 years. Insane. Oh and behind the scenes the kitchens are often THE most disgusting places you can imagine. Thank god I'm not doing it while pregnant. Hurling on camera would suck.?

  • Is it that restaurant makeover show?!! Cause I totally watched that the other day.

I treat my DVR better than my husband.  I talk sweet to eat when it does things that I want it to do.  Like when it accidentally deletes my DH's shows but saves mine...oh how I love thee!!!

Chocolate Pudding does NOT equal Chocolate Cake.

  • Yup that's my show. I'm the redhead. ?I think the last one I was on was just after New Years down there in the US. It's on every day up here.
  • Well it may not have been a new one...but I saw one since the DH has been away, and that's only been a week.  It was probably last weekend when I must have forgotten how to use the remote becaue I watched the Foodnetwork for two days.

BTW...yeah it took me a while to catch on to what you were saying because remember I was up too early.  My hubs hasn't been able to call so I'm waiting and waiting because I really want to go to sleeeeeeeep......zzzzzzzz

  • Ya mine's away all weekend and I'm thinking well....... nothing is keeping me up except for Alena. HA!
  • Yes and Alena is keeping your fingers busy in 3 different places.  Feel dirty yet?
  • Absolutely... you are a digit master.
  • I am struggling to keep up I'm not going to lie.  This is what happens when you start to show off...you can't keep it up. Ha ha ha.
