two kids, stroller, diaper bag/carry-on, car seats?, regular luggage, bottles, food, diapers, etc. Maybe you've pared things down with it being your second, but our station wagon was loaded to the roof when we drove to Delaware for three days when Adam was 7 months.
If you could FedEx things ahead to your mom or if the can rent things for you, that might make it easier. Or could you take a childless friend???
I would definitely try to take a friend or another family member along. I'm nervous as can be for our flight to Florida in March and we only have one baby and my husband is there to help.
I don't think you're nuts! It probably won't be the most fun flight/travel ever, but at least she'll be there once you get there to help out. And you can take what you need and gate check what you need to so that will hopefully make it a bit easier. It would be fun to visit her in Florida!
I dont have experience personally but I fly alot and DH flies every week. We see mothers managing all the time by themselves. Sometimes they looked so stressed out though and I feel bad for them.?
?I plan on flying to DH on weekends with the baby as soon as he is about 6 months old. We already have our first vacation with the baby planned for November. I am flying cross country but DH is going to be with me for the first flight!!?
