I decided yesterday that I'm going to strive to read 36 books in 2009! Anyone want to join me, or set a goal for themselves? I'm just so tired of dwelling on the bad stuff, ya know? I love to read, and there are so many books I want to read. Plus, it is such a nice escape for me to get into someone else's world for a while.
Re: any readers want to do a book challenge???
I love reading! But, I also have an issue with commitment, lol
Have you read the Confessions of a Shopaholic series? It's some good, light-hearted, quick reading.
For something more significant, you should check out The Glass Castle. Excellent book
I'm down.
I wanted to do the 50 books in 2009 challenge but not sure if that entails specific books.
So count me in for 50 books in 2009. We should have someone create a book ticker for us.

Hmmm 50 books...I think I could do that. And DH will be oh so happy to see some of those books come off the book shelf;-)
I don't think there should be any required books....just whatever makes you happy.
Cool idea! 36 it is. What are you working on right now?

Yay! So seems like there is enough interest. Maybe I'll do a check in every Friday to keep us on track???
I don't know. I'm tried to pick up Outlander earlier this week, but the library didn't have a copy.
I'm definitely looking for suggestions.
Outlander is seriously hard to find. i went to 3 bookstores in STL and finally got it from the library, and they only had one copy. It was crazy!
Fun, I'm doing the 50 book challenge from nbc too. So far I'm 8 down working on #9.
I'm tracking on goodreads too.
