Justin's currently wearing size 5 Huggies Overnights to bed. His diaper is so full in the mornings that sometimes his pajamas are a little damp. I decided I needed to try a size up, so bought some of the Overnights in size 6. That was a complete fiasco. He was wetter after using the 6's than after the smaller ones. I guess maybe they are still a little too big?
So, I've put him back in the 5's, but not only do they seem really full, but since he's a tummy sleeper, they seem to be leaking out the top in front. The diapers are actually so wet up there that they are kind of falling apart around the waist.
What can I do? I don't know of another diaper that would be more absorbent at night than the Overnights, but it seems we have a sizing issue......WDYT?

Some nights we have the same problem with Jack. It's worse on nights that we put a onesie under his jammies...because the onesie is tighter against his body, and he's a tummy sleeper, so it just squeezes the pee right out!
Is there any way you could keep Justin from having any more liquids after a certain time? Like, just have milk with dinner and then after that no more?
I know that can be tough with a toddler, but it might help a little??
Hey Katie! I was going to suggest the same.

I don't think they make diaper doublers for disposables anymore. I remember reading about this on the Toddler board and my online searches for them turn up nothing! It's such a bummer!
And, he already gets nothing to drink after dinner. He's just a big pee-er.

Ok - probably a stupid question given how old he is but - you do point his penis down in his diapers right?
I only ask that because I was making that mistake for the first several months after Jack was born and kept wondering why he was leaking out the top of his diapers
The only other suggestion I would have (if you weren't into doubling the diapers) would be to try some Good Nights (Pull-up type training pants). I know he's not ready to potty train
They're just made to hold the larger amounts of urine that an older child produces. And I know you could find them in his size - they come in a big range.
